If you haven’t come across it already, I wanted to tell you about my favourite fertility blog (apart from this one of course… )
I love 999 reasons to laugh at infertility because it gives back what so often gets completely lost when you’re trying unsuccessfully to conceive – a sense of humour. It may be a rather black sense of humour at times, and some of the posts are funnier than others, but being able to laugh about the ghastliness of it all can be a really good way of feeling more in control of what’s happening to you.
What I like best about it though is the fact that it picks up on those things that we all feel or experience but often imagine it’s just us feeling that way, isolated and alone in our world of fertility problems. In fact, so many of these experiences are being shared by thousands of other people across the world, and 999 reasons to laugh at infertility illustrates quite how true that is.
The one thing I don’t like about the blog is the fact that it uses the world “infertiles” to describe people with fertility problems – it’s one of those terms like “barren” that make me cringe – but if you can bear that, it’s definitely worth checking out.
