Fertility Matters is written by Kate Brian who has been through fertility problems, tests and IVF treatment herself. The website gives reliable information, advice and support to anyone who is having difficulties getting pregnant.
Kate is an author and journalist who has written four books about fertility and frequently appears on television and radio as an expert on the subject. She worked as a television journalist for many years, mainly at Channel Four News where health was one of her specialist areas. She was the London Representative of Fertility Network UK for many years and has been awarded for her work for the charity. Kate is Lead of the Women’s Voices Panel at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and chairs the College’s Women’s Network.
She was a lay member of the development group for the NICE fertility guideline 2013 and frequently speaks at conferences and workshops about experiences of infertility. She was an Associate Member of the Editorial Board of Human Fertility and a member of the HFEA’s expert advisory group on multiple births. Kate is a former member of the Board of Healthwatch Greenwich.
She continues to be involved in the fertility field through a number of different roles including:-
